Dear Friends, As many of you know, I have recently come from an over 4 and a half month stay in the hospital.  I have cancer and this has been a challenging experience for my family and me.  I know that it has been said that we grow from our challenges and I have found that to be true.  My testimony of a loving Heavenly Father, the importance of the support of good friends and family and the power of fasting and prayer have all grown.  The cost of over four months in the hospital has been astounding.  I have spent a great deal of time finding ways to pay my debts.  When I left Alta, the Student Body Officers helped me move several hundred of my books and tapes to a storage unit.  I soon realized that in 20 or so years someone would open the boxes and wonder how they got there and who they belonged to.

Two former Student Body Presidents agreed to help me make them  available to you, and the proceeds would be used to help pay a bill or two. Most are American History books while a few are World History or on different subjects.  I will not set a price on the books and merely ask for a reasonable donation which you are to decide.  Any donation however small will be greatly appreciated and some excellent books will benefit you rather than sit in a box.

The date is Saturday, March 8th from 10 am to 4 pm at the home of Todd Handley.  His address is  13433 S. Aintree Avenue Draper, Utah approximately 2000 East in the Steeplechase Development just east of Highland Drive .

If my health permits, I will be there and I would enjoy seeing you again.  Even if you are not interested in a history book (How can anyone not be interested in a history book?), I would enjoy seeing you and visiting for a few minutes.  If you have any questions, please give me a call.  My oldest son, Chris, is currently taking care of me and his phone number is 1-801-756-3800 in Highland , Utah .  You can also call Todd Handley at home 571-7482 or on his cell 971-4554.  Thanks for your support and I hope to see you on Saturday, March 8th between 10 am and 4 pm.

 THANKS VERY MUCH, DON WARD
